Alicia Keys is changing people’s minds with her music

We should care about Alicia Keys because she has gone beyond just writing music. She has inspired girls to believe that they don’t have to wear makeup to look pretty.

Keys is a singer, musician, and a composer. She started writing songs at the age of 12 and was signed when she was 15 by Columbia Records.

Out of all Keys’ songs, the two songs, “If I Ain’t Got You” and “No One, stand out to me because the first song talks about how no one else matters but the people that love you and the second song talks about how she’s going to do everything to keep her relationship strong. These songs that she wrote are very personal because she talks about her feelings.

The song “If I Ain’t Got You” was written when Keys found out that Aaliyah had passed away in a plane crash. She wrote the song while she was on the plane. The meaning of this song is to show the importance of being present and that nothing else matters but the people that love you.

It’s a fun, upbeat song. I listen to it when I am hyped up. It’s bold, breathtaking and timeless. It’s directed more toward young listeners; although older people might be interested, I feel it’s mostly dedicated to young listeners. The lyrics are inspiring and don’t only inspire me but inspire thousands of people around the world.

The purpose of this song is to inspire others, and I think it achieves its purpose because it inspired me to appreciate the people around me.

“If I Ain’t Got You” is different from Keys’ other song “No One” because “If I Ain’t Got You” talks about how no one matters but the people that love you and “No One” talks about how she’s never gonna forget her significant other and that no one will seperate them.

The first weakness in the song “No One” is how I listen to it when I’m sad, I can only listen to it when I’m sad. The second weakness I found is that sometimes it brings back bad memories and I don’t want to remember them.

The first strength is the fact that I can listen to “If I Ain’t Got You” all the time not only when I’m sad. The second strength is how it reminds me of my family and all the love and support I have from them.

People should care about Keys and her work because it makes you think about people you love and how you should appreciate them. Everyone should give her songs a listen so they truly think about their family and friends.
