When students first hear about the Human Sexuality class, some cringe. Nonetheless, students at Denali feel that this class is very important for their future. In the course, students are taught ways to prevent STDs, how the human reproductive systems work, facts about teen pregnancy and concepts behind healthy relationships.
“I know stuff that I didn’t know before. Some of that stuff, unlike other classes at school, you can use it in real life,” Denali junior Emerson Sanchez said. He believes he will use this knowledge in the future.
“It’s been useful for me because it has taught me how to check if I have STD, and that is really important,” Denali junior Pedro Estrada Tellez said.
