Students learn video game programming

By CC Logan

Staff Writer

The purpose of Video Game Programming is to learn how to code and to create a video game. Students have an opportunity to learn hands-on how to create their own video game.  Students come up with story ideas for the video game and then move on to code the game.

Students in this class don’t just learn how to code. In order to complete their game, they must do the following: decide on a background story, create characters and code their actions, select background images/sounds and determine the overall theme.
