Bianka Ortega is a Tahoma freshman. She is enrolled in a Visual Arts Expeditions course that teaches her how to draw pictures in different and effective ways. But the remaining question is: what inspires her drawings?
The Visual Arts class is taught by Mathew Scicluna. He uses various methods to teach the students how to draw. They practice coloring and drawing many different pictures. The subjects of these pictures range from household objects to human anatomy.
“I joined art class because I was always interested in art, and I never knew the basics of art,” Ortega said, adding that she recommends that other students join the class because the class improves students’ ability to draw and is also fun at the same time.
